Machine Loading and Unloading Project
A company received a new contract for heat treating that was going to test their capacity of their machines. Historically, parts are loaded and unloaded by hand into the heat treating induction machines. The customer wanted to automate so the heat treating machine could keep running thru breaks, shift changes, etc. In addition, automation of this process could decrease the cycle time for the heat treating machine.
RJV Solutions provided a turn-key automation system for loading and unloading the heat treating machine. RJV Solutions designed and supplied the loading and unloading stations, the collaborative robot, the system guarding and the controls/instrumentation for the process. RJV Solutions programmed the collaborative robot and provided training for the customer to edit the program. This automated system was running on two shifts and the cycle time was reduced on the heat treating machine since the cooling time was shortened.
